How to Use Your Breathing to Improve Your Life.

Did you know that nine of out ten people have forgotten how to breathe well? Due to things like poor posture and diet, overuse of medication or emotional and physical trauma, many of us have dysfunctional breathing patterns.

Poor breathing results in a lack of oxygen on a cellular level, meaning that we’re more prone to chronic pain, mental and physical suffering, disease, and cancer. In fact, if you’ve experienced back pain, pelvic floor issues, sleeping difficulties, anxiety, depression, asthma, or digestive issues, chances are you’re breathing poorly.

The good news is that once you learn to optimise your breathing, you can start making some very real and very physical changes. We have combined the knowledge from Western Medicine and Eastern medicine to create effective breathing workshops.

“Oxygen plays a pivotal role in the functioning of the immune system.”

A Message From Us.

We have been blown away with the benefits that just the breathing has personally given us, starting from sleeping better to managing anxiety and increasing performance. Experiencing this personally, we became passionate about WHY this is. We went to work seeking out the most influential and proven breathing mentors and methods from science-based breathing all the way to rebirthing and spiritual-based practices. What we found has been proven all over the world by influential people like Tony Robbins and Wim Hof, and we are committed to being the hub sharing this with you. Really, it boils down quite simply to: how you breathe…is how you live.

Signs and Symptoms of Dysfunctional Breathing

With the help of science, and a multi-disciplinary approach, we are confirming what some Eastern traditions have been saying for thousands of years… how you breathe is how you live. Breathing is intimately coupled with your neurology and your physiology. This makes optimal breathing the keystone of mind and body health; it’s literally the missing link in the mind/body connection.

  • Chest pains/palpitations
  • Poor concentration
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Chronic pain

  • Digestive issues

  • Problematic Skin
  • Cravings

  • Fatigue

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Memory loss

  • Lack of endurance
  • Irregular heart beats

  • Can’t get a good breath

Dysfunctional breathing happens when:

  • Emotional

  • Checking the phone

  • Checking emails

  • Sitting at a desk

  • Driving long distances

  • Overweight

  • Working in corporate

  • Poor posture

  • Public speaking

Quite often, people have been to every expert, given lots of opinions, and told “It’s just stress.” No medical professional has a solid answer, yet there still feels like there is something is wrong. Optimal breathing might be the solution they’ve been looking for.

How Breathing Affects Your Body.

Humans breathe anywhere between 20,000-30,000 times a day. The amazing thing about your breath however, is that it is both a voluntary and involuntary bodily function. Our unconscious manages our breathing (much like our digestion or blood flow) but, at any moment, we can take control and consciously change the way we breathe.

Unfortunately, a little-known fact is that dysfunctional breathing is incredibly common with a majority of the population. Whether this is due to a mechanical cause (like poor posture) or biochemical source (such as acidosis or infections), many people haven’t taken a proper breath since they were a child.

We provide practical solutions and techniques, explaining the mechanics of oxygen flow and how this affects your health both physically and psychologically.

How Can We Help You?

After years of training and continually educating themselves, we have distilled our knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine, martial arts, combat sports, yoga, and more, into a formula that gives you the tools to manage your physical and mental wellbeing in any area of your career and life.

“I am a 54-year-old menopausal woman who has been living with deep chronic stress for over 14 years. I don’t sleep well, and in spite of my best endeavours, am grossly overweight. It’s only been a few days, but since the first class, I am already sleeping better and my energy levels have lifted enormously. I’ve learned how much a lack of oxygen can impact us and have hope that this will even help me in my attempts to slim down and get my body back to a more healthy state.”

“I’m the sort of person who works ridiculous hours and usually operates at very high levels of stress. Thank goodness I met the team from Breathe Me. After one class, I learned so much about the science and studies behind breathing, and how to apply that to my everyday life. I started feeling the effects straight away, and now I do their breathing exercises every morning and night.”
